Institute of Labour Development (ILD) represents one of the instruments through which IFCI has broadened its original mandate of being a catalyst for industrial growth in India. The institute is a manifestation of IFCI’s desire to build capacities for developing skilled manpower for industry in addition to providing direct long term financial support to various industries.

ILD was set up as in the year 1992 with a broad objective to develop an enlightened and motivated workforce all over India through education, training, research and consultancy & counseling of workers and worker’s organizations. Apart from class room  training modules, ILD  also aims to be  a centre for out-bound trainings & management workshops.

The Institute has its own extensive campus, set amidst idyllic surroundings & spread over 33 acres of land in Jaipur. The Institute has Lecture Rooms, Conference Rooms, Seminar Rooms, complemented by a set of smaller syndicate rooms especially designed for effective learning interactions. The facilities are equipped with modern infrastructure & training aids. It also has a well-stocked library of management books, journals in print and digital media.  The institute has a computer centre with high speed LAN/internet access.  The institute can house 98 people on a double occupancy basis in its well-furnished, air-conditioned residential facilities.
